Warranty Terms

Every part sold by AFJ Auto Parts & Wrecker is covered by a written warranty against failure under normal use, in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Warranty length depends on the part type:

Part Category	Standard Warranty
Engines	90 days (extended to 6 months when installed by a licensed mechanic)
Transmissions	90 days
Electrical components (ABS modules, alternators, starters)	30 days
Body panels & trim (doors, bumpers, mirrors)	7 days — fitment/condition only, not cosmetic wear
Batteries	30 days, subject to load-test results
All other mechanical parts	30 days unless stated otherwise at time of sale

What's Covered

• Mechanical failure of the part under normal operating conditions
• Parts found not to match the description or condition given at the time of sale

What's Not Covered

• Damage caused by incorrect fitment, incorrect part selection, or installation by an unqualified person
• Wear and tear, cosmetic imperfections, or pre-existing conditions disclosed at time of sale
• Damage caused by accident, misuse, or failure to maintain the part/vehicle correctly after installation
• Freight damage once a part has left our yard, unless arranged through our shipping service

Making a Warranty Claim

1. Contact us with your invoice/stock code and a description of the issue.
2. We may ask you to return the part to our yard, or in some cases arrange inspection on-site.
3. If the claim is approved, we will repair, replace, or refund the part at our discretion.

Your Consumer Law Rights

Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your right to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
